This simple, nourishing meal brings together three GLP-1 favorites: high-quality protein, fiber-rich carbohydrates, and healthy fats. Wild salmon provides satisfying protein and omega-3s, while sweet potato fries offer slow-burning energy and fiber. Peppery arugula and extra virgin olive oil add freshness and antioxidants, creating a balanced plate that feels both comforting and light.
This meal naturally balances protein, healthy fats, and fiber, three nutrients that help support fullness and stable energy levels. The salmon helps preserve lean muscle mass during weight loss, while the sweet potatoes and arugula provide vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that support overall wellness. It's a nutrient-dense meal that delivers lasting satisfaction without relying on large portions.
Ingredients: (serves 2)
For the Salmon
2 wild salmon fillets (about 5–6 oz / 150–170 g each)
1 tsp cracked black peppercorns
½ tsp sea salt
1 tsp avocado oil
For the Sweet Potato Fries
1 medium sweet potato
1 tbsp avocado oil
½ tsp cinnamon
Pinch of sea salt
For the Salad
3 cups wild arugula
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Juice of ½ lemon (optional)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Preheat the air fryer to 385°F (195°C).
Slice the sweet potato into fries and toss with avocado oil, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
Air fry for 15 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden and slightly crisp.
Season the salmon with cracked peppercorns and sea salt.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with avocado oil and cook the salmon for 3–4 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until cooked through.
Toss the arugula with olive oil, lemon juice (if using), salt, and pepper.
Serve the salmon alongside the sweet potato fries and fresh arugula salad.
Wellness Tip:
Wild salmon is one of the best foods for a GLP-1 lifestyle because it provides high-quality protein and omega-3 fats, which support satiety, muscle maintenance, and overall metabolic health. Pairing it with sweet potatoes provides a source of fiber-rich carbohydrates that release energy gradually, helping you stay satisfied and energized without feeling overly full.
